I didn't expect to enjoy summer, 2020. We had been socially distancing and I haven't been away from home but for curbside grocery pickups since March.
And then our son-in-law and daughter asked whether they might install an above ground swimming pool in our back yard. The answer was a resounding "Yes!" Our family gathers outdoors around the pool and we are all having an unexpectedly wonderful time. Even Farmer John and I are swimming each night.
I'm grateful for this unexpected blessing.
