January/February 2020

My mom passed away January 23 after a nearly 16 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.  I'm sad for us as we miss her, but blessed for her sake, because she is free of Alzheimer's disease at last and is safe at home with the Lord.

We all dress up so rarely that Mom's services offered an opportunity to catch us looking our best--although some of us were more unhappy than others about the restrictions our nice clothes placed upon us:

We enjoyed winter walks and had photo worthy snows on January 11 and February 12.

We were blessed with visits from Rebekah and by photos that were texted to us from our grandsons' mom while they were kept from in-person visits by a series of minor viruses.  Daniel's birthday celebration was postponed twice due to illnesses, and we finally gave him his gifts sans a party.  He seems pretty pleased anyhow!
